As a show of support for one of the Midwest’s leading information security industry groups, 4Discovery LLC has announced their sponsorship of the May meeting of the Midwest Cyber Security Alliance. This month’s topic: “Are you Prepared for a Ransomware or Business Email Compromise Attack?”
The Midwest Cyber Security Alliance (MCSA), founded by Jennifer Rathburn, a Data Security & Privacy Partner at Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee, exists to help industry practitioners protect their organizations from cyber threats, and to provide a forum for the exchange for information and best practices. The meeting, which includes networking and cocktails, will be held on May 18th from 4:30-6:30PM at Foley & Lardner’s Milwaukee offices at 777 East Wisconsin Avenue, and will address the growing ransomware problem and how businesses can prepare for and respond to these emerging attacks.
“Ransomware attacks were up over 500% last year,” said Jeffrey Hartman, a Partner and Co-Founder of 4Discovery, “and the impact on businesses can be catastrophic. We are thrilled to be partnering with the MCSA on this important program.” 4Discovery is a leading provider of incident response forensics to CISOs and the legal community.
“One of the primary charters of the MCSA is to provide our members with relevant knowledge that can help them protect their organization’s critical data,” said Jennifer Rathburn, the MCSA founder and Secretary, “and we rely heavily on industry experts to help deliver this content. We are delighted to have 4Discovery as a program sponsor and presenters at the May meeting.”
